| Bio: | Wotcher! I’m Tonks: Auror extraordinaire, Metamorphmagus, girlfriend of one Remus J. Lupin. The summer of 1997 changed my life- for the bad, and for the good. Dumbledore’s death, and Harry’s revelation of his murderer, shocked and saddened all of us, as did the attack on Bill Weasley. However, in the face of all that danger, despite being separated for the last year- Remus and I got back together. We sat down together and talked- a lot- and decided to take our relationship slowly. Remus has been through situations that most people cannot fathom, and he wasn’t going to ditch his mantra of ‘too old, too poor, too dangerous’ over night. We loved each other, there was no doubt about it, but if we wanted to make things work, we couldn’t rush into things, ignoring potential problems and seeing the world through rose coloured glass. Things were different when we got together at Grimmauld Place, and we quickly realised we could not go back- only forward, and I couldn’t think of anyone else I wanted to hold my hand and go forward with. Remus and I spent the duration of the summer together, attended Bill and Fleur’s wedding, and when the school year resumed, I was once again assigned to Hogsmeade with Proudfoot, Savage, and Dawlish (and chasing Death Eaters across England). Remus was needed in London, to help keep the Order informed, and our time together was quite limited. We were able to see each other on missions, holidays, and when one or the other of us had a day off (there was the occasional hurried ‘rendezvous’ as well,) but we never got the time to properly be together and be ‘Remus and Tonks.’ And now we’re at the precipice of something new, and exciting! The war is over and Remus and I can really start to live. Our whole lives are ahead of us now, and I fully intend to spend the rest of mine with him.
